One of the weakest binoculars through which I have ever observed. The twist cup is totally unmounted with the body, you can forget about any 3-way adjustment of the distance. They just come out on their own. Powerful reflections spoiling the contrast. Observation on a sunny day is simply a tragedy. .a very weak sweet spot, in principle, if you can call it a sweet spot at all, I estimate the sharpness at 6/10. In a word, punishment than pleasure of observation. .they are not worth even £ 30, not to mention the price in the manufacturer’s shop 👎If someone claims that this is a good pair of binoculars, they probably have never seen anything from at least a medium-low shelf .

The 5 star rating is for Avalon, not the glasses which unfortunately had a manufacturing fault. Before the fault developed the glasses were clear and easy to use, especially for someone like me who wears glasses. When the fault developed I emailed Avalon with photos of the fault. They reacted within hours, very apologetic and replaced them without question.

I bought these for my wife ( white colour body for her birthday. She is a keen walker and bird watcher.
They have been test driven on 2 holidays now: they are easy to focus, not too heavy. The lens protectors are a good idea. The depth of field is excellent for seeing birds and also long distance views of hills and sea life (like seals).
We found them very handy for checking gates on footpaths from the opposite end of a field especially if the field had bulls in it!

Nice binoculars, good optics which is the main thing I was wanting. Couple of details could be better though. The adjustment for spectacle users is rather too easy to move inadvertently and needs to be reset regularly and the individual focus adjustment on the right side has markers for +, -. and 0 but there is no corresponding pointer to show where they are set.

I bought the 8×32 version but they developed double vision 1 year and 1 week old, I expected problems with the warranty but couldnt have been better served, I received a text regarding delivery due next day ( with no mention of what it was?) then a confirmation that they would be replaced with no need to return the faulty item- they took about one day from contact to delivery- EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE well done.
I just hope they dont develop the same problem as they really are the perfect balance of size / weight and performance- it would be great if they were smaller and lighter but I believe NOTHING better at remotely near this price exists.
